We would like to use discounts via Customer Groups; however, the discount is not reflected on the invoices.
For example, a customer with a -10 percent discount via groups, will show a 100 item as being 90. There is no indication that a discount was applied.
Is there a way to have the discount shown? We really need this to be recorded and displayed on invoices, reports, etc? If not, then we will have to remember to manually enter discounts so there is a visible record of them.

Hello,
Customer groups change the price. They don’t not apply discounts.
The discounts can be applied while creating sale.
Thank you

I see. That’s unfortunate. It means customer groups are useless to us. It also means there’s no means to reduce the possibility of order entry errors.
Perhaps a future version will either:
have an option for customer groups to apply discounts instead of just changing the price
–OR–
for predefined discount types to be defined so they can be selected by name during order entry.

Hello,
I am not very sure how customer groups are being used by others. Sometimes I think I should change this behaviour. Instead of changing price, I would apply discount but as it’s quite old feature so not sure to change it. Let me check if I can update this.
Thank you
