Error logs has nothing except missing language keys. Can you please try with English language and let me know the site link and both user owner and sales credentials in private reply.

I can't test your install as I won't be sure if the issue is caused by the system or your modifications :( I have tested sales search from a sales staff and it's working fine for me.

I suggest you test on live demo and let me know the step to replicate it OR restore all the files to original on your install then only can be sure if it's a system issue. I could be that I am testing with different (user or system) settings, that'w why worked here.
