PHP POS Server (desktop installer) can’t print on receipt special french characters like “é”, “à”, “ç”. I signaled this issue with proofs 5 months ago in your support page tecdiary.net. I tried to follow all your recommendation to fix that issue by choosing all characters set one by one like UTF8, …etc. I bought this app but then you said that you don’t support… that is confusing.

    Hello,

Instead of asking new question, please try to add reply on the same question to have better understand and follow up.

May be you can try ISO-8859-1 or any other that make sense to you the details are on iconv-lite docs

If no, please let me know some test of French language that I can use locally to test.

    Thank you

    Hi sir,

Here some special french characters that the Php Pos can’t print: é, à, ù, è,

In the attached picture, you can see the app don’t print correctly the word “payé” or “Tél” https://i.imgur.com/gRR5DhF.jpg

I tried with all encoding one by one but don’t find solution.

    1. Second issue: This desktop app print “II II” character before business name at the top of receipt. I can’t delete it.

Thanks you for your great help.

    Hello,

    1. I will check the é, à, ù, è characters.

    2. Did you try to change the Logo density (if you edit printer, it requires restart).

    Thank you

I will explain more how to get characters issues on receipt print.

    1. Go to “List of biller”, choose edit biller, in the “Invoice footer” field, write a french phrase like this: " Bébé est à la la maison où à la crèche".
    2. Change language of your SMA to french
    3. Go to POS and simulate a sale.
    4. Print the receipt print with your printer. You will see that your roll paper have many strange characters. In plus, all words are not translated to french. some words are still in english.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Are you using the latest versions? It should have Logo Density field on add/edit printer page.

Anyway I check the characters and update the installer again.

    Thank you
