As far as I know, you need to issue a special command to printer, depending on printer model, that triggers the drawer. Simple printing (or feed) may not help.

**[saleem](/u/saleem)** If it can be set from printer properties, then you are right, you can print a blank line (or .) to initiate drawer. Even a line feed should do.

I don't have such a printer handy so cannot test my theory.

I would love to try out your solution as I want to be able to open the cash drawer without the need to use the printer but I cannot see the webserver code. Is it possible you can share the code again please?
