Hi i have your simple pos application in that we find some problem regarding Product Report. Here it is Scenario . Suppose i added one product and mention their cost as 10 Rupee and price is 20 Rupee after we purchase this item qty as 20 cost is 10 Rupees after adding we sale this product as qty 10 Price is 20 Rupees then we change the product cost and price supposed we update cost as 15 rupees and price is 25 rupees. here once again we sale same product qty as Remaining 10 with price of 25 Rupees.
what is my cost and what is my income?
in your software is income is correct but cost is wrong…
if we update the cost after some sale …how it calculate the product cost
Please share me the solution… if any clarification call me 8310338773

Hello,
There won’t be any change if you change the product price. Please refer to inventory accounting methods in documentation.pdf to check how your method will calculate the cost.
Thank you

What do you mean about the “there won’t be any change” ? So if the purchase cost is different, the system doesn’t know how to calculate it ? if so, the profit report wouldn’t correct / match

Hello,
If you purchase on different. It will effect future sales not previous. What I mean there is the sales in database won’t have any change.
Thank you

Hi @Mian Saleem
I have tried to do a test like below :
- Product A have 2 Stock Left, on the product page, it cost was 300
- I made a purchase for Product A - 5Pcs with 250 Cost
- So, overall i have 7 Stock left, when i try to sell the Product A , the report always showing that the cost of the product was 300, even for the newly added
How to do it properly ?
Thanks

Hello,
What is your inventory accounting method? Please check it in system settings and then documentation.pdf have details how these methods work.
Thank you

Hello,
I am sorry as I thought I am replying for SMA. All replies are wrong here.
Simple POS don’t have any inventory accounting feature. The cost is from the product, whatever you have set it there.
Please ask new question as I will disable the replies here.
Thank you
