hope this helps out .go in to the database and look at the number ascribed to your countries currency . now open the cache table in database and look for th column referencing default currency . youll see one of the currency numbers listed there which in your case could be US Dollar . Remove the number and replace it with the number of your local currency as seen in the currency table and refresh. Used this to change US Dollar to GHS Ghana Cedis..
