Installer creates `member` role. I am not sure why you don't have it. Is it new installation or you perform update? You can add `member` role from user roles page and set permissions of member.

Only SuperAdmin can write articles.
New role, member or admin cannot write articles, only in connection with the settings.
Articles can only be written in connection with the settings.

Since the version Simple Forum v2.0.0-rc.3 the registration and login does not work after the update! All other functions work! Uploaded all data several times and performed migration.
But, all error messages in the laravel.....log always:
