You can modify the item code as per license. We don’t offer support for modification/customisation. You are allowed to do it at your own risk.

You will need to modify the Products controller (app/controllers/) & view files (themes/defaults/views/products/add.php & edit.php). You will need to modify the database too if you are adding new fields.
