There are categories and subcategories. If you want to add sub category then you will need to select the parent (main) category.

where location parent category in this system?

If you see the add item page there is category (parent category) and subcategory selection. No location for parent category, it's just to add subcategories only.

J'ai le même problème, je ne vois nulle part où il faut ajouter catégorie parent. Il n'y a que le catégorie simple.
