1. May I know more or screenshot of first issue so that I can check.
2. You can check with your server admin/host. If your php mail function is not support they should guide you about sendmail or smtp. You can use any smtp provider, like zoho mail, mailgun and spartpost. For gmail, please be informed that you need to allow non-secure app to send email. Gmail called app using password to connect smtp as non-secure and there is no alternative to use OAuth yet.

I have checked and think it might be due to XSS protection. Please post private reply with server details so that I can check.

It was due to mod_security as the script tags are not allowed in post. I have update the code to bypass. Please try now and let me know the result.

You don’t have to reply privately unless there are private and confidential data. That might be due to cache, please clear the site cache of browser and then try again.
