I think it isn't installation issue but server configuration. Can you please make sure that MySQL mode `only_full_group_by` is disabled. If it's already disabled then please let me know site details in private reply.

Please check server error logs and let me know the error details. You can check with your host for logs path.

You can enabled app log by changing the `log_threshold` to 1 in `app/config/config.php` and then try to list items again. The logs will in `app/logs/` folder.

I can only suggest solution after knowing the error, so please try above and let me know.
