Mostly this error occurs when your backend validation fails. I am not sure why this is happening on your server. I will need to check, please let me know the server details so that I can check and suggest.

Install didn’t show the correct error, it was SQL: unable to create tables, SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1142 DROP command denied to user 'xxxxxx'@'localhost' for table 'xxxxxx'

The installation instructions clearly say that the user should have all the privileges on database, but your user doesn’t have. I have granted and tried the installation was smooth. The details are in private reply.
