Hello,
I have Simple POS for Windows and I have set every thing and looks good except i could not import products from csv file.
- I have used the sample csv file to list some of 30 products ( screen shoot attached) but when i try import the file nothing happens.
- I have opened the file using windows notepad and saved it as csv file encoded as UTF-8 with BOM (screen shoot attached ) .But When I try to imort the file error message that says “… Tax should be numeric” kept coming.
- I have opened the file using MS- Excel and converted the tax column in to numeric and converted it several tiles but still having the same error message ( error message screen shoot attached)

Hello,
As there is no code in the error message but
()It means that system couldn’t read the csv file.Please make sure it’s save without BOM using
utf-8encoding. The attachment of notepad doesn’t show if it is correct encoding. You can try to change the tax to0instead of0.00You can open with excel and then try to save as different name.
You can zip the csv file and attached here. I will try to check.

CSF files are not allowed but you should be able to attache zip file. You can email to [email protected] but email response is damn slow 😦

I have imported the attached file and it’s been imported successfully. You can unzip the products file and then try to import it.

Thank you very much . I manage to import the file you sent me . 1. I would appreciate if you could comment on what was the problem with my file or if there is a particular tool I can use to convert CVS files. 2. Is there a way I can also include quantity and image to the CSV file so that I can finish all in the CSV file and import. Instead of adding photo and quantity one by one .

I just download and open it and save as
csvfrom excel. That’s all.No. There is no option to add quantity with import. You can add purchase after import.

Hello,
I have checked you file again and found many duplication for the code column. Each row should have unique code. Please correct your file by making sure that there is duplicate code (you can’t use same code for 2 products) and try to import again.
