Hi Mian Saleem,

I hope you are having a great time,

For every thread that I create, there are two URLs created for the thread with ( public ) name and both are indexed by Google,

How can I disable it, or at least exclude it from indexing?

Or is there an option to select a canonical URL for search engines?

I look forward to hearing from you,

Warm Regards,

The Simple Forum script creates duplicate, broken and unwanted URL for some threads,

For example, I have created these threads, and these are the URLs:

    1: (/https://forum.linko.me/threads/how-to-short-a-link)

    2: (/https://forum.linko.me/threads/how-to-select-a-domain-for-link-shortening)

But, the script created an unknown URL for these threads, and they are indexed by search engine as well, which is a bad request and factor for SEO.

How can you fix this, Please fix them and let me know,

Looking forward for hearing from you,

    Sincerely,

    Hello,

No, it shouldn’t generate any link for the public folder as you have already set the root to the public folder.

You can check your sitemap https://forum.linko.me/sitemap.xml

    Thank you

    Hello,

I am not sure why these are indexed. Have you set the root path to public folder for subdomain?

I am updating the sitemap generation for the forum to have more control and add the links manually. The next release should have an update for sitemap.

    Thank you

    Hello,

The path can be set while adding/editing the subdomain. I am not sure about your server setup, so you can check with your server admin.

For search result and indexing, which takes time, I am not seo expert but the basic seo option are in place. Once google finds you contents relevant then it will start displaying them in search results.

    Thank you
