If you add from list sales then the original/master sale will have the return data and is saved in the sales tables. Sale will be locked after return as there is no option to manage multiple returns.

If you add from returns (sidebar menu) then that will be totally separate record and without master sale.

please tell me than what is the function of return > add return . bcoz it does not have any impact on sales and cash register

Those are open return to update the stock. Will be listed as the return on profit reports. Thank you
