Yes, i tested in Version 2.1.2, it works.

That’s strange. Both versions use the same process for scanning the barcode. I don’t have scanner with me to test but the scanner only must type the code to the input (same as paste) and then SSM will search products and add the result product to order. Is there any errors in the console or in php error logs?
